Walk to Work Week 2013 (13–17 May) is a national challenge organised by the charity Living Streets. The aim is to get people walking more to and from work, during work and at lunchtimes during the Week and beyond. Join us walking to work this May and some of the many benefits:
How to take part?
Its easy, just register yourself online at www.walktoworkweek.org.uk and in the ‘My Workplace‘ tag, search and add ‘Imperial College London‘ as your workplace. Then you can Walk to Work and also log your walk online to see how many miles you walk, calories you burn and CO2 you save with online walking calculator!
‘Walk to Work’ can be very flexible – you can walk part of your journey (or the whole journey if you prefer) and can walk as slow or fast as you want to! It doesn’t even need be limited to walking to / from work, you can also join one of the following Sport Imperial’s walking, jogging or running activities during the Walk to Work Week:
- One Big Thing – 5K challenge on Friday 17 May (17.00 in Hyde Park)
- Lunch time Power Walk on Wednesday 15 May with Active Lifestyles
- Running Club on Monday 13 May and Tuesday 14 May
