This event will be followed by a drinks reception from 7.30pm.
Marianne Fallon, KPMG’s Head of Corporate Affairs, UK, will be joining us for a special lecture in (belated) celebration of International Women’s Day.
In a talk that addresses one of the key issues of today and tomorrow’s world of work, Marianne will be asking: ‘Will Diversity be an issue or an opportunity in 2025?’
We are moving into a world where technology is evolving rapidly, flexible and home working are accepted practices and setting up your own business can be done easily and cheaply. What does this mean for the future of large Corporates and what changes do we need to make for our future workforce? The route to a living has, until today, been through a Corporate career – having this on your CV was a must in terms of references and reputation.
This is no longer the case. Setting up your own business and communication channels is easy now, our future workforce is technically savvy and the pace of change is moving faster than ever. How can the Corporate compete with this? Do we need to plan a different way of working to encourage young people into the Corporate life? How can we make our career prospects more engaging? And how can we change our culture to be more satisfying to a wider diversity of styles and aspirations?
