Filipe initiated his professional career as a community pharmacist in Portugal and UK before joining the Imperial College Business School in 2005. After his degree, Filipe was rewarded with offers from consulting firms but opted by a newly-created position as International Business Analyst in the largest pharmaceutical group in Portugal, where he advised on strategic international projects and evaluated potential partnerships to develop the company portfolio.
In 2010, Filipe joined the Pricing and Market Access Department of Celgene, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing innovative therapies targeting high unmet medical need in cancer. Filipe became the franchise European Lead for Multiple Myeloma and is currently responsible for all EMEA pricing and reimbursement strategies, value proposition and market access communications and also a ‘team-focused’ member of the wider Commercial organization.
Filipe is married with his long-standing partner Raquel and has one 2-year old daughter, Maria Miguel.
