Blackstone: an overview – with a focus on Private Equity, Real Estate Private Equity and Advisory.

Mike Wilcox:

Mike Wilcox is a Director in the Restructuring & Reorganization Group and is based in London. Since joining Blackstone in 2007 Mr. Wilcox has worked on a number of restructuring and corporate finance transactions including Arsenal, BTA Bank, Carl Zeiss Vision, Center Parcs, Deutsche Annington, Greece Sovereign (PCIC Creditors), HSH Nordbank, Northern Rock, Parex Bank, Punch Taverns and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Wilcox was an Associate at Close Brothers Corporate Finance advising on a variety of M&A, debt advisory and restructuring transactions. Prior to that Mr. Wilcox qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the Technology, Media and Telecoms practice of Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Wilcox graduated from Imperial College, London with First Class Honours in Mathematics.

Kilian Pender:

Kilian Pender is an Analyst in the Real Estate Group and is based in London. Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Pender’s primary responsibilities include evaluating real estate investments in several property types across Europe. Before joining Blackstone in 2010, Mr. Pender worked with Credit Suisse in their M&A group in London. Mr. Pender received his undergraduate degree from Trinity College Dublin in Economics and Business and completed his Masters in Political Economy at the London School of Economics.

Thomas Westermann:

Thomas Westermann is an Analyst in the Private Equity Group based in London. Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Westermann has worked on several transactions in various industries. Before joining Blackstone in 2011, Mr. Westermann interned at J.P. Morgan, The Boston Consulting Group and Booz & Co. Mr. Westermann received a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Technical University of Denmark.
