On 9th June 2011, Professor Martin McCall presented to students from Winchester School’s Science Society.

The Science Society at Winchester School regularly invites scientists, engineers and medics to give lectures to their students each term. There are usually between two and four lectures a term with anything from 30 to 120 boys from all years attending.

Professor McCall is Professor of Theoretical Optics in the Physics Department at Imperial College London and was invited to present to the Science Society at Winchester School about his research. Professor McCall presented; ‘Beetles, Black Holes and Editing History’.

The students in attendance thoroughly enjoyed hearing Professor McCall’s talk and enjoyed the opportunity to ask him plenty of questions about his research.
