This year, Ada Lovelace Day will be held on Tuesday 16 October. It aims to encourage people to talk about the women they admire in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), to raise their profiles, and the profile of women in STEM generally.
Ada Lovelace Day was launched in 2009, and in 2010 had involvement from over 2,000 people who wrote about the women they admire.
This year, the Royal Society is planning a group ‘edit-a-thon’ to improve Wikipedia articles about women in science. For more details on this event, please visit the Royal Society website.
