Airbnb is unlocking unique spaces worldwide by connecting people with space with travellers who are looking for a place to stay. Founded in 2008, described as “disruptive” innovation for the hotel industry, praised by Paul Graham (co-founder of Y-Combinator), Airbnb has been named among the next generation of multibillion dollar start-ups.
Tripbod connects travellers with likeminded and knowledgeable locals who help to plan handcrafted holiday experiences. Tripbod started its journey in 2007 and featured in both The Guardian and The Telegraph as one of the best travel websites ever.
We think that these are groundbreaking ideas, both built on P2P marketplace model, using readily available resources, culminating in awesome holidays, and therefore no travelling should be allowed without either of them.
Airbnb is expanding at super-speed; it has just opened its brand new London office in Silicon Roundabout (Tech City), and among all the new jobs there’s also Graduate Programme and Internship in Entrepreneurship.
