Course Organiser: Professor Peter Collins
This one-day course has been specifically organised to highlight difficult issues and areas of uncertainty met in General Practice and the way in which they should be addressed. It will consist of lectures as well as an afternoon of interactive workshops offering practical guidance to GPs, by consultants, on various topics.
Provisional topics include: Management of the post coronary artery bypass and angioplasty patient after they return home, Cardiovascular risk assessment in women, Arrhythmia management and atrial fibrillation, Heart Failure management, Non-invasive testing and screening for coronary heart disease, Imaging of the heart, Practical management of arrythmias and ECG interpretation for the GP.
