The tour of Changi Water Reclamation Plant and Deep Tunnel Sewerage System will be joined by Imperial alumnus Mr Chen Hung. He was one of the 10 Gold Medal recipients from Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. Mr Chen Hung was formerly the Principal of Ngee Ann Polytechnic and the Director of Environmental Engineering Division at the Ministry of Environment. He was the President of the Institute of Engineers Singapore from 1984 to 1986. He was awarded the Public Administration Medal by the government in 1977. He is currently an Executive Committee and Life Member of Imperial College Alumni Association of Singapore.
Highlights include: Briefing on used water system and DTSS, Guided Tour of facilities including the Influent Pumping Station, Liquid Treatment Module, Solid Treatment Facilities and Sembcorp Changi Newater Plant.
