Hugo Trepant is a Booz & Company partner based in London working with clients in the public sector including defence, security sectors, and health. He also specializes in oil, gas, and utilities.

Mr. Trepant has extensive experience in strategy development, transformational change, enabling technologies and the management of change. This experience spans across Europe and the Middle East.

He is well known for his experience and insights in:

•         Transforming existing organisations to achieve step change in performance
•         Services consolidation, centralisation and de-centralisation
•         Business led change strategies using ‘fit for purpose’ technologies
•         Delivery of large programmes and business benefits realisation

Mr. Trepant began his professional career with Thompson CSF (Avionics Division R&D) and then as a Petroleum Engineer with Schlumberger Wireline. He subsequently moved into consulting, specialising in exploration & production, utilities and technology.  More recently he has led some of Booz & Company’s largest transformational change programmes in the public sector.

Mr. Trepant holds a BSc in Physics and MBA from Imperial College London. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and The Energy Institute. He has also completed the Marathon des Sables in 2008 and 2010.

Mr. Trepant will discuss Booz & Company’s approach to working with clients, run the audience through a case study of a project and then reflect on what makes a successful consultant.  The session will be followed by Q&A and networking over drinks and nibbles.

He will also be joined by Andrew Johnstone-Burt, Partner and Global Head of Public Sector.  Mr. Johnstone-Burt has over 13 years consulting experience in management and IT consulting firms, building upon his earlier work for the Australian Defence Force and the British Royal Navy.  He works in partnership with his clients to provide advice on key issues including business strategy, organisational change management, process reengineering, and implementation of enabling technology.
