The British Heart Foundation (BHF) Centre of Research Excellence at Imperial College London is hosting a Symposium on Vascular Biology and Inflammation on Friday 18th June 2010.
The Keynote Lecture will be given by Professor Bruce McManus from the University of British Columbia. We also welcome speakers from the Universities of Pennsylvania, Frankfurt and Oxford, as well as Hannover Medical School, Cancer Research UK, UCL and Imperial College London. More details on the sessions and speakers at the event can be viewed here.
The Symposium will take place in the Sir Alexander Fleming Building, South Kensington Campus, London. Everyone is welcome and attendance is free but requires registration in advance by emailing Dr Katie Payne.
The Symposium will also include a Poster Presentation session, which will be judged by the external speakers taking part in the Symposium. This is an excellent opportunity to have a scientific discussion pertinent to work relevant to the topic of the Symposium, with some highly distinguished researchers. A prize of £250 (to put towards conference travel) will be awarded to the poster judged to be the best. If you would like to present a poster, please submit a title and a short abstract (of no more than 300 words) to Dr Katie Payne. Abstracts should not include figures or tables. Please also ensure that you provide the name(s) and affiliation(s) of all author(s). The deadline for abstract submission is Friday 7th May 2010.
