Professor Nelson PhillipsEmotional intelligence has been shown to be closely related to leadership success. However, leadership success is defined very broadly in the emotional intelligence framework and little direction is provided in terms of specific leadership outcomes.

Professor Nelson Phillips, Chair in Strategy and Organisational Behaviour, will discuss the relation between specific leadership behaviours and the innovativeness of followers. Using examples from some great innovation leaders and the results of recent research, Professor Phillips will outline several behaviours that drive innovation and challenges the audience to evaluate their degree of innovation emotional intelligence.

20.15 – 21.30: Following the lecture there will be an opportunity to network over some light refreshments and nibbles.
