Ebrahim Mohamed, Director of the Imperial Excutive MBA programme, presents this workshop on: “Introduction to Finance.”
The learning objective of the workshop will be to introduce delegates to basic financial concepts, which need to be understood in order to launch successful businesses from the high technology sector. The workshop will commence with an overview of basic financial terminology and this will be followed by an introduction to developing a cash flow projection for a business plan. The session will also include questions from participants about the role of finance in the new venture process.
Biography: Ebrahim has worked for Imperial College since 1992 and is a founding member of the team that started the Entrepreneurship Centre. Ebrahim teaches and consults in the area of Accounting, Finance and Entrepreneurship. Ebrahim has held visiting lectureships for the London School of Economics, City University and Queen Mary University of London.
Ebrahim is Director of the Tanaka Business School Executive MBA Programme. The programme was ranked Globally 10th, European 3rd and UK2nd in the Financial Times Executive MBA 2004 survey. Ebrahim pioneered E-learning content and development on the Executive MBA and Tanaka Business School as part of his role as the Imperial College Faculty Teaching Fellow. Ebrahim was a Chevening Technology Enterprise Scholarship Programme (CTES) Teacher for the Centre for Scientific Enterprise, London Business SChool. Ebrahim was bestowed the honorary title of CTES Finance Fellow in September 2004. Ebrahim has an increasing profle as a specialist teacher of finance for high technology entrepreneurs in London and the UK. He has been at the forefront of the Tanaka and Imperial Collegereputation in technology, entrepreneurship and innovation working alongside internationally renowned faculty from London Business School adn Cambridge University.
