Within the College, the Imperial College Indian Society is the largest society with a diverse membership of over 1,000 people. We pride ourselves on our high quality events – the epitome of which is the East Meets West charity show. Previous venues for the show, which many of you may remember, include the Shaftesbury Theatre, Hammersmith Carling Apollo, the renowned Barbican Hall and the Shepherd’s Bush Empire. This year East Meets West will be held at the London Palladium, with doors opening at 17.30, and the show starting at 18.15.
Annually the show is enjoyed by over 1,500 families and students from across the UK. East Meets West is the largest show at Imperial and allows us to celebrate the diversity that makes Imperial College and London so vibrant.
Over the years worthy causes such as CRY, Help a London Child, Hope Worldwide and UNICEF have been supported, and this year we are supporting Save the Children, Plan India and Micheal Sobell House.
The recent success of East Meets West has been contributed to by a number of successful alumni, who have provided us with financial assistance and publicity in the previous years. It is for this reason that Imperial College in association Imperial College Indian Society cordially invites you and your family to attend this year’s show and rekindle those precious memories of university life. We believe your presence will be greatly welcomed and honoured, especially for those of you who have been a part of previous shows during your time at Imperial.
