Alumni are cordially invited to attend the launch of the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship . The Centre, within the Tanaka Business School, exists to help Indian and British companies and research institutions improve innovative performance and find better ways to develop and exploit new ideas, with specific, but not exclusive reference to British and Indian markets.

Indian companies, universities and research institutions are moving beyond cost leadership to a bold strategy for value creation through innovation. What are the opportunities and challenges? Over the years, Imperial College London has developed a highly effective system for technology transfer, fed by research from all of its faculties.

Imperial Innovations the first majority university-owned listing on the London Stock Exchange, combines the activities of technology transfer, company incubation, and early stage venture capital. These activities creatively leverage the breadth and depth of Imperial’s strengths across multiple research disciplines to provide high impact solutions in energy, health, and environment. In this panel discussion, senior academics and executives discuss the steps to creating and leveraging value through innovation in a global business environment.
