BP’s sale of Innovene quadrupled the size of the purchaser Ineos and delivered great value to BP’s shareholders. As head of BP Chemicals at the time when the decision was made to spin out Innovene as a separate company, Iain Conn was involved in the deal from the very start and was at the heart of the Innovene/Ineos negotiations. Iain Conn is Chair of the Tanaka Business School Advisory Board. An Imperial alum, (he read Chemical Engineering and Management) he is now Executive Director of the BP Group with functional responsibilities and regional responsibility for Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Russia and the Caspian and Asia. Amongst his many other roles he is a Non-Executive Director of Rolls Royce. He’s also a great speaker so come along on 26 October and take advantage of the rare opportunity to hear about the deal from start to finish.
