Title: Skeletons and Tropicalisations

Abstract:In this talk, I will outline ongoing joint work with Robert Crumplin connecting non-archimedean geometry and logarithmic geometry. In particular, we’ll see how to build a (non-archimedean) analytic space using ideas from log geometry. With this new approach, we will apply our techniques to study the SYZ Conjecture in mirror symmetry and Gromov-Witten theory. The talk will be a gentle introduction to the key concepts involved.
