Dr Hong Yong Peh from the Harvard Medical School, Boston will give his talk on ‘Specialized pro-resolving mediators activate new clearance pathways via mononuclear phagocyte system for the resolution of inflammation’

Biography

Dr PehDr Peh is an instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and an investigator in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He received his PhD. from National University of Singapore in 2017 and was the valedictorian for the medical school cohort. Upon graduation, he was awarded the NUS-Overseas Postdoctoral Fellowship, where he joined Bruce Levy’s lab as a postdoctoral research fellow until 2022. His current research interests focus on the resolution of inflammation in the lungs and various tissue injury, the mechanisms of resolution biology, and the efficacy of specialized pro-resolving mediators in promoting resolution in various tissue injury.

Dr Peh serves as the Young Investigator Chair of the Immunopharmacology section of IUPHAR (International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology), and as an Early Career Professional of the ATS (American Thoracic Society).
