About the event

As the model of lifetime continuous employment breaks down, more and more of us are taking career breaks. Sometimes these are positive: a chance to reflect and recharge. Sometimes breaks are forced upon us.

Whatever your situation a career break represents both an opportunity and a threat.

In this webinar we will look at different models of career breaks and investigate how people can best use a period away from work. We will examine:

  • Three different models of sabbatical
  • When career breaks work best and for whom
  • How to end a long break and get back to work
  • How to de-risk options and negotiate with your employer
  • Using a career break to explore new career options
