The black hole stability problem
I will discuss the stability problem for the celebrated Kerr family of black hole solutions of the vacuum Einstein equations. In particular I will describe a recent theorem, joint with M. Dafermos, G. Holzegel and I. Rodnianski, on the full finite codimension nonlinear stability of the Schwarzschild family.
