We are pleased to announce Nobel Prize winner Professor Didier Queloz, who will be speaking at our next Physics Colloquium on Thursday 22 February at 4.00pm – open to all physics students and staff.
The richness and diversity of planetary systems that have been detected have forever changed our understanding of planetary systems in the Universe.
This talk will address the challenges to the canonical model of planet formation and the historical opportunity to address the question of the origin and prevalence of life in the Universe where our speaker will share with the audience recent advances and ideas in this exciting area of research.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to join us on Thursday 22 February 4.00-5.30pm in Huxley Clore Lecture Theatre (adjacent to the main entrance of Huxley) followed by refreshments. This is open to all physics students and staff. Spaces are limited so please arrive on time if you would like to attend.
