Short talk summary:
Shortly after birth, the human heart loses much of its regenerative capacity, presenting a significant challenge in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. This talk explores how insights from heart development can inform regenerative strategies, focusing on the use of human pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiac progenitors for cell-based therapies and cardiac organoids as advanced models for studying heart disease and repair.
