Genomic epidemiology of priority arboviruses: global landscape, current gaps, and public health insights
This seminar will explore the role of genomic epidemiology in understanding the epidemiology and public health impact of priority arboviruses such as dengue, Zika, chikungunya, yellow fever. It will provide an overview of the current global landscape of arbovirus genomic surveillance, highlighting key advances in sequencing technologies, data sharing, and outbreak investigations. Case studies will illustrate how genomic data is currently informing outbreak response and control strategies. Finally, this seminar will discuss strategies and recommendations to strengthen genomic surveillance globally.
