10th Meeting of the Minds 2025

Meeting of the Minds 2025, the flagship conference of Imperial Neuro Society, is set to return for the 10th year at Imperial College London, South Kensington Campus, on March 8th, 2025.

Our keynote speaker will be Nobel Prize Laureate and Neuroscientist Professor John O’Keefe, speaking on ‘Neural navigation: how the hippocampus supports flexible navigation’.

Our highlighted and much-awaited Live Brain Dissection workshop will be led by our Society Patron, Professor Steve Gentleman, Head of the Division of Neuroscience in the Department of Brain Sciences at Imperial.

We will also be kindly joined by speakers

  • Dr Jane Pritchard (Consultant neurologist and Joint head of specialty at Imperial College NHS Trust) speaking on “Guillain barre syndrome: Bedside to bench and back again”
  • Dr Carola Radulescu (Research fellow in the Department of Brain Sciences at Imperial) speaking on “Out of balance: how ageing disrupts homeostatic plasticity”
  • Dr Hanifa Koguna (Junior neurosurgeon and PhD student at Imperial and the National Physical Laboratory, UK)

Following lunch, further workshops in the afternoon will be:

  • VRIMS: Virtual Reality in Medicine and Surgery on Neurosurgery
  • Neuropathology cases led by Dr Mark Fabian (Consultant Neuropathologist at University of Southampton)
  • Computational Neuroscience workshop by Martin Esparza-Iaizzo (Biomedical engineer and neuroscientist at Imperial)

We will return with our unique neuro-inspired art competition and invite for the first time oral presentations and essay submissions. Prizes will be awarded on the day.
