The Changing the Face of Science (CFoS) Research Symposium is an annual event that celebrates the research and perspectives of early career researchers from underrepresented backgrounds across Imperial.
This year’s symposium will feature a series of academic talks from early career researchers, showcasing their work across a range of disciplines. Alongside the talks, there will be a poster session, a lightning thesis competition, and a keynote careers panel titled:
Changing the Face of Science: How Underrepresented Early Career Researchers Can Thrive in Science
While the symposium highlights researchers from historically underrepresented groups, equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is a collective responsibility. Creating a more inclusive research culture requires engagement from the entire academic community. CFoS provides an open, welcoming space for all to listen, learn, and contribute.
The programme will include:
-
Academic talks from early career researchers at Imperial
-
A keynote careers panel on EDI in research careers
-
Poster session with lunch
-
Lightning thesis competition
-
Networking reception with food and refreshments
Whether you’re looking to share your ideas, discover new research, or connect with peers and colleagues across disciplines, CFoS is an opportunity to foster meaningful conversations and collaborations that extend beyond the day.
