Modulating Light with Gravitational Waves – Prof Martin McCall
I will show that spatio-temporal metric undulations, that comprise gravitational waves, can modulate co-propagating electromagnetic waves, to produce detectable sidebands. The prospects for terrestrial gravitational wave measurement, cosmological observations, and analogue laboratory experiments will be assessed.
