Prolonged conflicts around the world have devastated health systems and left millions without access to adequate health care, shelter, and clean water and sanitation. This has created environments where drug-resistant infections can thrive.
In this Arabic-language webinar hosted by the Fleming Initiative, expert speakers from a range of disciplines highlight their work on the different drivers of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in conflict settings and what can be done to address the issue.
Speakers will particularly emphasise the recently published npj Antimicrobials and Resistance research article ‘Unravelling the linkages between conflict and antimicrobial resistance’, but will draw from a range of other work.
