Join this upcoming webinar on Microbial Chassis. This is part of a monthly webinar series that will showcase cutting-edge UK and Korean research in engineering and synthetic biology, and is provided as part of the Korea-UK International Research Partnership on Engineering Biology.
This webinar will feature two expert speakers exploring innovative approaches to engineering biology:
- Professor Tom Ellis (Imperial College London) will explore Synthetic Chromosomes in the Age of AI. As Co-Director of Imperial’s Centre for Engineering Biology, his lab pioneers tools for genome engineering in yeasts and bacteria – from building synthetic cells to designing organisms that can sense, heal, and create new materials.
- Professor Byung Kwan Cho (KAIST) will present Synthetic Biology of Acetogenic Bacteria for Sustainable C1 Gas Bioconversion. A global leader in systems and synthetic biology, his team engineers microbes for applications ranging from C1 biorefineries and therapeutic microbes to advanced microbial chassis platforms.
