The School of Convergence Science, Human and Artificial Intelligence is delighted to host NVIDIA Robotics Day 2026, an event closely aligned with the School’s grand challenge on embodied intelligence.

The programme will feature engaging presentations from Imperial’s world-leading robotics researchers, showcasing breakthroughs across the field. Alongside these, NVIDIA experts will deliver a series of in-depth technical sessions offering a deep dive into the emerging embodied AI stack. The NVIDIA lectures will explore the convergence of differentiable physics, world foundation models, and generalist robot learning. Topics will include the evolution of simulation platforms, next-generation physics solvers, and the deployment of foundation models across both general robotics and specialized healthcare applications.

NVIDIA Technical Sessions — Topics Overview

Isaac Lab 3.0 and Isaac Lab Arena

  • Isaac Lab 3.0 architectural breakdown, roadmap and focus.
  • Isaac Lab Arena platform for VLA evaluation, environment building tooling, and standardization

Newton Physics Framework

  • Technical deep dive into the new NVIDIA Warp-based solver (Joint effort by NVIDIA, Google DeepMind and Disney Research).
  • Architectural discovery, motivations, and solvers overview.
  • Roadmap for community contributions and the upcoming Isaac Lab integration.

Project GR00T and LeRobot

  • GR00T Nx Models technical overview and development roadmap.
  • LeRobot integration for simplified post-training and evaluation pipelines.

NVIDIA Cosmos

  • Overview of the WFM trained on only physically-correct data.
  • Breakdown of submodels (Reason, Transfer, Predict) and utilization logic for data curation, generation, and in-loop evaluation.

Isaac4Healthcare

  • Platform overview bridging NVIDIA Isaac and NVIDIA HCL SDKs for medical/surgical robotics.
  • Roadmap and technical convergence of Isaac Lab, Newton, GR00T, and Cosmos for autonomous medical workflows.
