Title: On vorticity equations driven by fractional transport noise: existence of solutions and Hurst parameter estimation

Abstract

We extend previous work on fluid dynamics equations driven by transport noise, replacing the standard Brownian motion with fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter H > 1/2. This choice is motivated by applications where fractional noise more accurately models turbulence and uncertainty. For the vorticity equation, we prove the existence of solutions and develop a procedure to estimate the Hurst parameter. We then outline how this approach extends to a broader class of SPDEs. This is joint work with Dan Crisan (Imperial College London) and Alexandra Blessing (University of Konstanz).
