Kunle and Biola Babawale are both smiling at the camera.

Are you a Black Imperial student interested in a career in finance or medicine? Or do you aspire to create your own social enterprise? Gain key insights to help you on your journey from Biola Babawale, CFA and Dr Kunle Babawale. Black @ Imperial will be hosting the sibling duo for an exciting conversation where they share all about their careers and how they overcame setbacks along the way. There will also be informal networking over pizza and Afro-Caribbean snacks.

Biola is a Charted Financial Analyst with 15 years of experience in global finance. She currently serves as an Emerging Markets Strategist at Macquarie Asset Management, where she leads sovereign debt research across Asia and advises on investment strategy for institutional portfolios. Kunle works for the NHS as a Consultant Urological Surgeon. He delivers specialist surgical care and leads quality improvement projects to strengthen patient safety.

Their careers inform their social enterprise, Cycle Together. Cycle Together empowers women—particularly women of colour—to gain confidence, community, and skills through cycling. It has delivered innovative programmes in prisons and local communities, combining the physical and mental health benefits of cycling with employability training and social impact outcomes.

Come along to be inspired by our guest speakers and connect with other Black students at Imperial. Please ensure that you register to ensure that there is enough catering for everyone.
