Moving IMPACT is an Imperial led international development project funded by UKRI, under the Ayrton Fund to address urgent global energy and climate challenges. This project is not only investigating the integration of clean energy sources into agriculture, home cooking and transportation, but it is also being used as a platform to encourage women to pursue careers in engineering.
Our second ‘Women in Engineering’ project side event will be hosted by University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) Ghana, and will include presentations given by successful local women engineers, who will share their journey from university to industry, followed by a round table discussion where the floor will be open to talk about the challenges and opportunities for women in engineering in the sub-Saharan context.
