Now in its third year, the Black Graduate Careers Conference returns bigger than ever. This free event is designed to empower Black heritage students and graduates from Imperial and beyond. Connect with leading employers, strengthen your career skills, explore postgraduate study options, and discover opportunities across STEM and business. The day will feature inspiring talks, an exhibition of employers actively recruiting Black graduates, and practical, interactive workshops to help you build the skills, confidence and connections to succeed.
What to expect on the day:
- Keynote speeches from leading figures – Hear from award-winning entrepreneur Nathaniel Peat, recognised as one of the UK’s most influential ethnic minority leaders. As Founder and CEO of The Safety Box CIC, he empowers vulnerable young people through leadership and enterprise. In the afternoon, corporate transformation specialist and author of ‘Woke at Work’, Joy Omoregie, will share practical insights to accelerate job performance, navigate complexity and unlock opportunity.
- Interactive career-focused workshops – Gain practical skills, refine your career strategy, and explore emerging opportunities through dynamic and interactive sessions led by industry experts and academic leaders across STEM, business and beyond.
- Careers exhibition with top employers – Meet recruitment teams from leading organisations across STEM, finance, business and the public sector, including McLaren Racing, KPMG, Deloitte, Parexel and more. Discover graduate schemes, internships and immediate openings that could launch your professional journey.
- Higher education guidance – Current students, graduates and faculty members discuss how advanced degrees can accelerate your career, offering firsthand advice on navigating Master’s and PhD programmes.
