The Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication will screen Oscar-winning documentary Mr Nobody Against Putin by Pavel Talankin on Monday 9 November.

An undercover look inside a small Russian town and its school.

A powerful investigation into how the state uses education to shape political attitudes in times of conflict. A story of teachers caught between patriotism and personal conscience under an authoritarian system.

Post-film Discussion

The round table discussion will examine civic disengagement, state propaganda, the militarisation of education, and the challenges faced by individuals living under authoritarian rule.
