scientists-and-patients

Join us for the next Imperial Science Cafe -Ovarian Cancer Research @ Imperial at Maggie’s West London.

The Imperial Science Café, started in 201, remains a space where our researchers share their research with patients and the public. These events allow plenty of time questions and discussion about our cancer research. It is a great place to learn about cancer and how our research aims to better understand cancer, to diagnose it earlier and to find better and kinder treatments.

Speakers include: Lura Tookman, Eunice Xing and Ellie Ware

Elli Ware (Dietician)

Determining best practice for the management of Malignant Bowel Obstruction (MBO), as a complication of Ovarian Cancer.

The overall goal of Ellie’s research is to improve dietary care for people with recurrent ovarian cancer and who have, or who are at risk of getting, Malignant Bowel Obstruction.

Eunice Xing (Clinical Research Fellow, Medical Oncology)

Using real-world data to improve research and care in gynaecological cancer.

The overall goal of Eunice’s research is to use information that is already collected during routine NHS care to understand how treatments work for everyone with ovarian cancer, including people from communities who are under-represented in clinical trials. In the longer term, this information will hopefully help guide treatment decisions.

No need to register, drop ins welcome. Everyone is welcome. Light refreshments will be provided.
