Event audience

The National Heart and Lung Institute are celebrating International Day of Girls and Women in Science by introducing you to some of Imperial College London’s fantastic women scientists and engineers. Throughout the day you’ll hear about what, how and why they do the research that they do, as well as being able to ask any questions you may have about going to university or working as a scientist. We’ll finish the day by discussing themes from Angela Saini‘s best selling book Inferior: the true power of women and the science that shows it, and the impact that it had on us as women scientists.

The event is open to everyone, but the talks will be targeted at 14 – 18 year olds. We particularly welcome registrations from school groups, and teachers will each be given a copy of Inferior to discuss with their classes.
