Neurodiversity includes the specific learning differences -dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and Autism.
In this talk Professor Rankin explores the strengths and weaknesses associated with being neurodiverse and how this plays out in the workplace for employers and employees. She will outline the steps that employers and line managers can take to support their ND staff and give an overview of new inclusive software the college has invested in for all staff and students. In addition, she will talk briefly about some of some of the educational and outreach projects she is currently working on for ND students, the newly established ND in STEM network and plans for the Great Exhibition Rd festival.
Sara Rankin is a Professor at the National Heart and Lung Institute, in the Faculty of Medicine working in the field of Regenerative Pharmacology. She is dyslexic and dyspraxic.
