All staff are invited to attend a workshop hosted by Professor Stephen Curry, Assistant Provost for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion to explore the pros and cons of different approaches to workload allocation.
The workshop, which is happening at the suggestion of the College Athena SWAN committee, will consist of a mix of presentations from different departments, followed by a plenary discussion. It is an opportunity to compare notes across College about the range of philosophies and practices of recognising and balancing the contributions of academics who have to juggle research, teaching, departmental and other responsibilities. We appreciate that there are likely to be valid reasons for differing approaches. The aim is to have a free discussion and summarise the primary insights that arise from the meeting.
