Iván Arcuschin, University of Buenos Aires, speaks as part of the SRG seminar series.

“In recent years, several techniques have been proposed for automatically generating Android test cases. In this talk, I will explain some of the state-of-the-art techniques (e.g, Monkey, Sapienz, etc.), focusing on the strengths and weaknesses of each one. In particular, I will present our latest results of an empirical study aiming at identifying what makes search-based approaches outperform other techniques.”

About the speaker

Iván Arcuschin is a PhD student at University of Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina. He is part of the Tools and Foundations for Software Engineering Lab (LaFHIS) research group at the Department of Computer Science, UBA. He obtained a PhD scholarship from the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET, Argentina) to research automatic test generation techniques for mobile applications. In 2017 and 2018, he was awarded the Google Latin America Research Award.
