Ten years ago, Alexander Osterwalder’s Business Model Generation changed the way startup founders and corporate executives thought about business model design. The book, which introduced the revolutionary Business Model Canvas concept, enabled users to quickly sketch, iterate and adapt their business ideas using a simple one-page framework. Since then it has sold over a million copies, become a key building block of the Lean Startup movement and been widely adopted by startups and corporates alike.

Alexander will be sharing his insights into how large organisations can avoid disruption and give insights into his forthcoming book Invincible Companies.

In this hands-on lecture, Alexander will outline a series of Business Model Mechanics that allow established multinationals and startups to develop better business models. He’ll share how senior leaders can best position their organisations to design an innovation culture, innovation portfolios and the corresponding organisational structures. You can also expect to learn about a new concept that helps companies visualise if they are ready for the future or if they should fear disruption.
