Description

Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) is a technique used in the process industries to assign safety integrity levels (SILs) to systems, by looking at the layers of protection available. This event will summarise the LOPA process and then go on to discuss its use, strengths and weaknesses.

If you have never used LOPA come and learn about it. If you use LOPA come and join the discussion on its strengths and weaknesses.

Our two speakers are:

Dr Eberechi Weli has advised Senior and Executive Level Management in major Energy and Infrastructure Projects on strategies and application methods for achieving cost effective risk reduction and subsequent compliance to engineering and legal requirements.

Ian Travers has over twenty five years’ experience in the regulation of chemical and major hazard industries and in the investigation of major incidents to discover the underlying causes.

The meeting will begin at 1730, for a 1800 start. Meetings are open to all, you do not need to be a member of SaRS to attend.
