Written in the style of a Simpson’s episode, the first 15 minutes will consist of a series of twists and turns through relevant algebraic notions before arriving at the main topic: a partial order on the space of n-dimensional algebras where A is less than or equal to B if A deforms to B. After indicating the less tractable aspects of this topic, I’ll reveal what is known, including a complete description for small n and qualitative information in general. Time permitting, I’ll discuss an analogous question for Frobenius algebras.
