The next GEM will be at 1pm on Friday 10th November in CDT Suite room 402B (accessed via level 2 of the Sherfield Building), with Dr Andreas Kafizas from Chemistry as the guest speaker. Andreas’s talk title is: “My daughter, my wife, and then my career… Keeping the right balance and priorities”. There will be tea/coffee and biscuits! Everybody is welcome (women and men)!
The Gender Equality Meetings (GEMs) are a programme of monthly talks and discussion sessions with speakers drawn from CPE academics, fellows and postdocs. These informal sessions each feature one speaker, who talks about their career to date and how they have overcome various challenges, followed by an open discussion session. Everyone is very welcome to attend and take part in the discussions!
Please let Steph Pendlebury know if you plan to come, for catering purposes (please accept the calendar invite if you received one, otherwise email Steph).
If you are interested in giving a talk at a GEM, or have suggestions for invited speakers, please contact Jaspreet Kainth: j.kainth15@imperial.ac.uk
