Edmond Yau is a Commercialisation Executive at Imperial College London, managing intellectual property and licensing activities for the Faculty of Natural Sciences. He supports the assessment, protection and commercialisation of academic innovations, guiding technologies from discovery to market through licensing, IP strategy and industry engagement.

Before joining Imperial, Edmond spent over a decade at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, managing hundreds of inventions and thousands of patent applications. A qualified patent agent in China, he holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property from the University of London. Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, he bridges global academia and industry in advancing scientific innovation.
