Commercialisation Officer, Faculty of Natural Sciences

Emily Russell is a Commercialisation Officer in Imperial College London’s Faculty of Natural Sciences.
She supports academics across chemistry, mathematics, physics, life sciences, and climate-related fields, guiding intellectual property evaluations and shaping commercialisation strategies. Her focus is on understanding technical novelty, exploring market potential, and connecting researchers with industry partners to help innovations reach their full potential.
Prior to joining Imperial, Emily worked at AstraZeneca across a range of technology-focused roles, most recently within the business development Search & Evaluation team. There, she developed a keen interest in spotting promising technologies and supporting their journey from discovery to application.
