Commercialisation Executive, Faculty of Engineering

Laura Cabo-Fernandez is a Commercialisation Executive within the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College London. Since joining in 2019, she has managed the evaluation, IP protection and commercialisation of innovations emerging from the Departments of Aeronautics, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering—advancing technologies through licensing and spin-out creation.

Laura holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Liverpool, where her research explored lithium-ion battery degradation and materials for extended energy storage life. Her collaborations with global academic and industrial partners gave her deep insight into the chemical and energy sectors, complementing her technical and commercial expertise.
