Commercialisation Executive, Faculty of Engineering

Valeska Gonzalez is a Commercialisation Executive in the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College London. She leads the assessment, protection and commercialisation of intellectual property from the Departments of Materials, Chemical Engineering and Earth Science and Engineering. Her work focuses on advancing high-potential research into impactful technologies through licensing and spin-out formation.

Valeska holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Surrey, sponsored by BP, as well as an MSc in Petroleum Refining Systems Engineering and a degree in Chemical Engineering. Before joining Imperial, she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Surrey, an Associate Technology Transfer Executive at Imperial Innovations, and as a plant engineer in industry—blending technical depth with commercial experience.
