AB - It is possible stabilise Pickering medium internal phase emulsions (Pickering-MIPEs) of modified soybean oils having internal aqueous phase levels above 60% solely with hydrophobised bacterial cellulose nano-fibrils. Such emulsions can be used as emulsion templates for the synthesis of porous polymer foams, so-called poly-Pickering-MIPEs if the components of the continuous phase are polymerisable.
