Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock is a space scientist, and presenter. She completed a PhD in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1994. She is also one of the space scientists who worked on the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), which produces the deepest and sharpest infrared imagery of the universe to date. The JWST has heralded a new age of discovery, particularly in the search for extraterrestrial life.
