AB - Using the ARGUS detector at the e<sup>+</sup>e<sup>-</sup> storage ring DORIS II at DESY, we have observed the decays D<sup>+</sup>→K<sup>-</sup>K<sup>0</sup>π<sup>+</sup>π<sup>+</sup> and D<inf>s</inf><sup>+</sup>→K<sup>-</sup>K<sup>0</sup>π<sup>+</sup>π<sup>+</sup>. The branching ratios were determined to be BR(D<sup>+</sup>→K<sup>-</sup>K<sup>0</sup>π<sup>+</sup>π<sup>+</sup>)=(1.0±0.5±0.3)% and BR(D<inf>s</inf><sup>+</sup>→K<sup>-</sup>K<sup>0</sup>π<sup>+</sup>π<sup>+</sup>)/BR(D<inf>s</inf><sup>+</sup>→φπ<sup>+</sup>)=1.2±0.2±0.2. These decays are found to proceed mostly via the {Mathematical expression} decay channel, with BR(D<sup>+</sup>→ {Mathematical expression})=2.6±0.8±0.7)% and BR(D<inf>s</inf><sup>+</sup>→ {Mathematical expression})/BR(D<inf>s</inf><sup>+</sup>→φπ<sup>+</sup>)=1.5±0.4±0.4. © 1992 Springer-Verlag.
